    Hi everyone!

    September 9, 2019 by Gildie-Everblaze

Hey! I'm Gildie-Everblaze, and most people on FANDOM call me Gildie :) I've recently started reading the Lunar Chronicles series -- I finished the first two books in one day on Tuesday this week, and I'm currently reading Winter and I LOVE this series so much! Anyway, I just wanted to post this to say hello -- I'd love to get to know anyone who's active here! Feel free to send me a message if you want to talk about absolutely anything -- I'm going to try and make this wiki active again to the best of my ability :)

    Have a great day!

Over the course of the Lunar Chronicles history, there has been several places to find the "most accurate" fan casting for the so lovable characters of the Lunar Chronicles.

These characters include main characters such as:

    • Linh Cinder (a.k.a Princess Selene Blackburn)
    • Prince Kaito (formerly)
    • Emperor Kaito (a.k.a Kai)
    • Scarlet Benoit
    • Ze'ev Kesley (a.k.a Wolf)
    • Cress Darnel
    • Captain Carswell Thorne
    • Winter Hayle-Blackburn
    • Jacin Clay
    • Iko
    • Queen Levana Blackburn (formerly) - Deceased

Marissa Meyers generously gives descriptions of these characters which brings the conclusion to a reasonable standpoint on how each actor/actress got placed with the characters.

Through many sources of fan cast descriptions by Pinterest, Social Media (Twitter, Facebook etc.). The c…

    Hi um I read Cinder

    September 10, 2018 by MoonIvy532

So basically hi I’m new here and have only read Cinder. I finished the whole book today and I really liked it. My friend kept on tell me to reda the Lunar Chronicles because she loves them so I read Cinder. I am very excited to reda the other books but I’ll have to wait to buy them.

A thing I really liked in Cinder is how it was a twist on Cinderella but wasn’t just Cinderella with different characters in a different setting. It added completely different things into the story that are super important and cool but have nothing to do with Cinderella. I think this made the book much more enjoyable to read.

Guess what? As soon as the first book mentioned Selene, I knew that it was gonna be Cinder. It's just an author thing to do that, you know?

I am a very opiniated person, and please don't hate:

    Cinder ~

    - she acts like she's responsible for every bad thing in this world

    - oblivious

    - doesn't even try to stand up for herself, waits for people to get the hint

    Scarlet ~

    - kinda prejudiced

    Kai ~

    - soooo obvious

    - doesn't always think things through

    Wolf ~

    - very, very, reliant (he makes up for it though)

Will be continued. Remember, no hate, please.

I've noticed that everyone on here has a favourite ship, I actually made a blog post about it: http://lunarchronicles.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Gem%D8%AC%D9%8E%D9%88%D9%92%D9%87%D9%8E%D8%B1%D8%A9/The_Lunar_Chronicles_Ships - But that is not my point. This time I'm explaining my favourite ship and why it's my favourite.

My favourite ship is Cresswell. I feel like I don't find a lot of Cresswell fans, so *high five* if you are one. The main reason I'm a bit Cresswell obsessed is because I like their relationship a lot. I always love a good funny character sentimental person relationship, and that's what Cresswell is! It has nothing to do with *cough cough* Cress being my favourite character *cough* But like seriously, when a normally funny lai…

Ok, so I'm a major book nerd and have read SO many different series, but instantly after reading only the first 2 books of the Lunar Chronicles, I was obsessed! It was just so good! I think one aspect for me that made it much more appealing was how just different it was to any other series. It has such a diverse set of characters - The kind of characters that I aim for in my own writing - It was honestly amazing to have such relateable real characters. My favourite character was Cress like as soon as I read about her. I enjoy immensely how she was such a romantic, who dreamed of things. I loved how she made herself be brave, even though she was so scared. I appreciate Marissa's inclusion of although not every girl is hotheaded and clearly …

Here's something that bothered me for some reason: Cinder deciding to get rid of the monarchy on Luna. Why? Well because she didn't need to.

So, Cinder's a cyborg who can look up basically anything. Does she not know that Luna was under an absolute monarchy?

(an absolute monarchy is a monarchy in which the king or queen have total power over law)

Her reasoning was so no Levana would ever rule Luna again. Not legit. Completely ridding the country of their current system is a bit far-fetched. So I'm going to assume that the United Kingdom is still a constitutional monarchy. Is Cinder oblivious to this fact? Or does she not consider ever transitioning to constitutional?

    - a future Levana could not be a Levana because of these laws r…

    Race

    January 24, 2016 by Beeper100

This has been something that's been bugging me a whole lot, so I'll clear it up.

    1. Cinder is part Asian. She is Asian and Caucasian. I don't know why people enjoy arguing she's fully Caucasian, but please read Marissa's character guide. Maybe you're just terribly confused. Still, read up on it.

    2. This is actually a bit more puzzling to explain, but Wolf is Caucasian. Skin colour does not apply to race. It's the facial features. If a child of two dark-skinned Asians was born paler than his parents, would that automatically not make him Asian? No.

If you want to argue that Wolf is not white, then go ahead. You're right. All white people are Caucasian, but not all Caucasians are white. Want a definition?

White: belonging to or denoting a hum…

    The Book Cooks: Winter Menu

    December 8, 2015 by Asnow89

Winter, the fourth and FINAL book in The Lunar Chronicles, was released last month. To celebrate, we created a menu inspired by all four books in the series by Marissa Meyer. Host a book club party with your friends to discuss the books and make these recipes! ENJOY!

Tea-boiled eggs are a common street food in the Eastern Commonwealth. In Cinder, shoppers snack on these eggs. Marissa Meyer herself recommended these in her own Cinder book club here!

Scarlet serves Wolf a croque monsieur sandwich in the second book in The Lunar Chronicles. This traditional french sandwich is delicious and will impress all of your friends!

Cress often twisted elaborate braids into her hair when she was a child. Make this braided challah bread in honor of Cress and…

This post was originally supposed to be a short one where I show my entry for the contest, but I wanted to share the background and inspiration too. In the end it turned out to be quite a long write-up. Let's start talking about the idea of a design contest. In my opinion most of the design contests about a non-artistic subject and targeting an audience with a variety of backgrounds are somewhat unfair in the sense that people who do art for their living or at least studied art professionally have an advantage over other participants that do not have the same background. These art professionals may not have a large or even any degree of devotion towards the subject, but still have a higher chance to win than someone who do not have the ski…

Hello, it is me and I just wanted to announce an amazing idea that I have found. Lots of people I know support this idea but I doubt any of us could make it happen. Honestly I wish I could but, here it is...... a Lunar Chronicles theme Park!!!!! I just think that there are so many events that would be so amazing to simulate! For example, when Cress and Thorne are falling out of space in the satellite. Or we could drive the 214 Rampion, or maybe we could even have like a roller coaster ride where we could get to see like a tour of New Beijing Palace or The moon's palace. Thanks for reading, more soon!

I would love to go over the Lunar Chronicles, book by book, so please sit back. :D

    • SPOILERS*

The book hooked me! By the first chapter! A rare thing, and rarer that this series is one of my favourite series' too. A prince, meeting you? Unexpected? Surprise? Yes, please! Now, Cinder's goal in the book vaires. First, fix the hover, which is impossible for her since she cannot afford both. Then, fix the old car, but can't because she never has the time. Two down, two to go. Save her sister, though, most unfortuantely, she dies AT THE VERY LAST MOMENT! And lastly, save her Prince Charming. It isn't continuous, why I love it.

The setting was perfection! It's not in anywhere in America, yet Meyer's took the challenge anyway. Most YA books do take p…

We had the lovely pleasure of seeing Marissa Meyer speak on her Fairest book tour this week! We learned a few fun facts about The Lunar Chronicles, Marissa Meyer, and her upcoming projects. ENJOY!

    1. Marissa Meyer was obsessed with The Little Mermaid (the Disney version, not the Hans Christian Andersen one).

    2. Marissa wrote Fairest in NINE days. She says it just poured out of her. (Originally it was going to be a shorter promotional novela, but she had too much to say so she turned it into a book!)

    3. Cinder is based on Cinderella, Scarlet is based on Little Red Riding Hood, and Cress is based on Rapunzel. Cress and Rapunzel are both types of salad greens, hence the connection.

    4. The Lunar Chronicles were inspired by Sailor Moon and science-…

    Fairest is Released

    January 27, 2015 by Asnow89

WAHOO! Fairest by Marissa Meyer was just released today. Are you going to read it? Let us know in the comments below!

The story takes place about twenty years before the start of Cinder, when Levana is fifteen years old. It starts on the day of her parents' funeral. Her parents have been murdered by a Lunar assassin who was not happy with their rule. As a result of their death, Levana's older sister Channary is about to be crowned the new queen of Luna. From there, the story goes through about ten years of Levana's life. It gives insight into what has made Levana into the person we see later, her relationships with Channary and her niece Selene, how she became the stepmother of Winter and what exactly lies beneath Levana's glamour.
