Luc Benoit was one of the supporting characters in Scarlet.

History[edit | edit source]

Luc was a charismatic & selfish alcoholic and the father of Scarlet. Scarlet lived with him in Paris, France until she was seven years old, in which she moved to live with her grandmother in Rieux, France. When Scarlet turned thirteen, she went to visit her father but left early because she couldn't stand being with him.

Recent Events[edit | edit source]

Prior to Scarlet, Luc was absent for most of Scarlet's life but returned after he was driven insane by Scarlet's grandmother's kidnappers, who bioelectrically manipulated him into burning himself with a poker. They told him they would let him live if he found something that his mother had hidden, however, he was unaware and was thus sent to go find it at his mother's farm. Luc later told Scarlet that he remembered the kidnappers' tattoos, which consisted of strange numbers. This lead Scarlet to suspect Wolf, a shy street fighter she met in Rieux Tavern who had a similar tattoo.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Physical Attributes[edit | edit source]

Luc had "a beard over his normally clean-shaven jawline. His hair matted on one side, sticking up straight on the other. He was pale and gaunt, like he hadn't had a proper meal in weeks."

Personality[edit | edit source]

Luc had a repelling personality to those he was close with due to his alcohol addiction & cowardice nature. He was a man with easily-changed beliefs, causing him to be threatened easily. Luc was an unreliable father towards Scarlet, which rendered her on-edge when encountering him again after a long time.
