Nainsi is one of the supporting characters in The Lunar Chronicles.
History[]
Nainsi was Kai's tutor when he was a child and was his first android. He claims he shared many happy memories with Nainsi, which is why he wanted her fixed as soon as possible, but this was a cover to disguise the fact that she contained information on the whereabouts of Princess Selene.
Recent Events[]
In Cinder, Kai hired Cinder to fix a broken Nainsi and hinted that she contained important information. It is later revealed that Nainsi had been used for Kai's research on Princess Selene.
In Scarlet, Nainsi becomes Kai's personal royal android during his reign as Emperor of the Eastern Commonwealth.

Despite her age, Nainsi is described as looking like she "had just stepped off the conveyor belt" & in "pristine condition." She has a "mock-feminine shape" as she is an outdated model. Her body is made of plastic and has a sleek design along with "a spherical head atop a pear-shaped body and a glossy white finish."
