Did many people like this book? I loved it, but I found it very intense. I thought it really showed Levana's character well.

I liked it too, and it was very intense compared to Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress.
I feel bad for Queen Levana because she REALLY likes Evret..
LOVED. It was the perfect back story and ties in so beautifuly with the other books. I beasikly read strait through in one sitting.
I liked it, but it didn't turn out like I was hoping. Originally I thought Winter was going to be Levana and the guard's (Evert's) daughter but she covered it up and said it was the guard's wife who died's daughter because she didn't want to look like a whore, like her sister did/does..And even thought that didn't happen, I still liked it.
I loved the book!! And I thought Levana was pretty much a brat for most of the book.
I felt that Levana was raised to be the rude, mean, ignorant person that she was. After all, having the ability to glamour and being surronded with many luxuries had to have probed such behavior. I feel bad for her because of this, knowing that she had a horrible childhood, and also feeling the insecurity of not even being able to show yourself to YOUR SISTER. I found it distressing and yet pleasing. It was a fantastic read.
I think Scarlet was pretty bad in the ending scene when everyone was slaughtering everyone. Although I most agree.
I also feel bad.
I mean, Levana was raised in a place where beauty was valued. She spent her whole life being taunted in court, having an abusive sister, and parents who never cared for her. It was partially her fault, but you can't put the entire blame on her.
